The election will be held from 8 am to 6 pm on 20 September 2026, in each of Berlin’s 12 districts.
A polling notification [Wahlbenachrichtigung] will be sent by post to your officially registered address in Berlin. It will be sent from mid-August and should arrive by 30 August 2026.
The address of your polling station is written on the polling notification [Wahlbenachrichtigung].
You can also vote at a different polling station within your constituency for the BVV election. In order to do so, apply for a polling card [Wahlschein] in advance (see You are not in Berlin on election day?).
You must bring an official proof of identity (ID card or passport) with you.
At the polling station, you will receive a ballot paper [Stimmzettel] for the BVV election. You have one vote and may only cross only one box.
