Each of Berlin’s 12 districts (Bezirke) has a district assembly, or BVV (Bezirksverordnetenversammlung).
The BVV is jointly responsible for the autonomous administration and governing of the boroughs.

Many of the issues discussed by the councilors elected to the BVV determine the quality of everyday life in the various districts of the city.
Most BVV meetings are open to the public. Some districts offer a live streaming of the event.
You can also attend public sessions if you wish.

Further information is available from your district’s BVV. Click here for a list of addresses.
